June 24, Belarus temporarily restricted the import of poultry products from Germany. This was reported in the Ministry of Agriculture and Foodstuffs of Belarus. This decision was caused by the registration of cases of low pathogenic avian influenza (H7) in the federal states of Germany Baden-Wuerttemberg and Bavaria.
Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of Ministry of Agriculture temporarily restricted imports of live poultry, hatching eggs, fluff and feathers, poultry and all poultry products, feed and feed additives in poultry, as well as used equipment for keeping, slaughtering and butchering of birds, BelTA.
As Telegraf previously reported, Ministry of Agriculture had formerly imposed a similar restriction on the import of poultry products from Germany in connection with the registration of cases of birds low pathogenic influenza (H7) in North Rhine-Westphalia.
