Kazakh President, Nursultan Nazarbayev, at a meeting of the Interstate Council of Eurasian Economic Community in Astana reported that Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan had agreed to launch the Customs Union form July. In addition, Kazakh leader noted that they were already working out actively the issue on the next stage of integration - formation of the legal framework of Common Economic Space.
«The most important achievement of the 10-years EurAsEC’s history is, of course, completion of the Customs Union forming. It is truly momentous event, and now, discussing the issue in narrow range, we have decided to sign this document today and launch the Customs Union from July», BelTA quotes Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The head of Kazakhstan recalled that within the Customs Union there applied Common Customs Tariff, adopted an agreement on the Customs Code. During the EurAsEC summit in Astana, the presidents also signed a new version of the Statute of the Community’s court.
According to Nursultan Nazarbayev, the measures, taken within the EurAsEC, such as creation of Anti-crisis Fund, joint action plan to overcome negative consequences of the world financial crisis, were of importance in its successful overcoming.
Kazakh president noted that EurAsEC was the most successful integration union in post-Soviet space.
