Kazakh Prime Minister, Karim Massimov, acknowledged that when creating the Customs Union, Minsk, Moscow and Astana had made some mistakes, which were to be corrected. "In near future we will work to correct mistakes, there will be bilateral meetings", Prime Minister of Kazakhstan said.

As the head of the government of Kazakhstan stressed, the Customs Union is «a new thing, now there resolved everything at the legislative level, but the most important is that we have not get «all very nice on paper», News-Kazakhstan informs.

«At the first stage, the roughness is inevitable — it is important to reveal it in time for people to feel the benefit (from the work of the Customs Union — Telegraf)», Karim Massimov said.

As Telegraf previously reported, from July 6, on the territory of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia there entered into force the Customs Code of the Customs Union. However, there remain some differences between member-countries on issues of export duties on certain types of goods.

Belarus, in particular, seeks the abolition of Russian export duties on oil and petroleum products. Initially, Minsk insisted on their cancellation from July 6, but then, according to Belarus’ presidential press service, the parties agreed them to be abolished automatically after Alexander Lukashenko’s signing of all documents, necessary to create Common Economic Space.

The CES will be the final stage of forming the Customs Union and should work on the territory of the three countries from January 1, 2012. According to Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Igor Shuvalov, the documents are planned to be prepared by early 2011.
