Russia's Deputy Prime Minister, Igor Sechin, speaking to reporters on May 27, said that Belarus must pay for gas at the contract price, not at "set by itself". At the same time, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia is sure that Minsk will fulfill its contractual obligations on the price of Russian gas.

Igor Sechin recalled that according to the price formula stipulated by contracts, the cost of Russian gas for Belarus was 169 dollars per thousand cubic meters, but Belarus paid 150 dollars, RIA Novosti informs.

Meanwhile, according to Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, the average annual price of Russian gas for Belarus will be about 180-186 dollars per thousand cubic meters. However, Igor Sechin stressed that Russia is unlikely to limit gas supplies. «I do not think it will happen. I am sure that the contract will be executed», Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation said.
