President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, on July 3 stated that the Belarusian side had ratified the Customs Code and all other documents, necessary to launch the Customs Union in tripartite format. Belarusian leader also commented on the statements of his Russian counterpart, Dmitry Medvedev, who named his open letters to Russian mass media and the biggest businessmen of Russia as "spam".

The head of Belarusian state expressed regret on that «the president of the allied country does not know what’s going on in the Customs Union», and stressed that Belarus «did not make a step back not a jot, does not lag behind in the Customs Union neither from Russia nor from Kazakhstan», BelTA informs.

«We have ratified all the treaties and agreements related to the CU so far. But they do not know. I guarantee that they do not know. Otherwise, there would be no talk on TV. We have ratified the Customs Code. Today, we are in the same coordinate system, they are in», the president said.

According to Alexander Lukashenko, Dmitry Medvedev’s statement, made in the morning of July 3, may indicate that «the man has been carried away by a conversation, he should calm down and look at the world around him, and the world, we live in».

«Do not worry, their business is just talk: perhaps, they want pancakes, they want sausages, butter. Now, it is time to talk about some letters. These are not planted letters — these are open direct letters. And I have a right as the chairman of the Supreme Council of the Union State, the Russians and Belarusians has dreamed about, to say what I believe necessary to say», Belarusian leader stated.

«We do not ban Medvedev say that he sees necessary to say. And he says, but it should be done professionally, competently», Belarusian head of state noted.

The Customs Union has not enough political support, Medvedev

A few hours before the statement of Alexander Lukashenko, reported on the ratification of all documents of the Customs Union, Russian president declared that new institution had not enough political support, above all, from Belarusian leadership, RIA Novosti informs.

«The main thing is to have political support. It’s not even in my competence but in competence of our colleague (Alexander Lukashenko — Telegraf). It is much more useful than be engaged in spam — sending letters, I mean», Dmitry Medvedev said.
