General Department of Veterinary Medicine with State Veterinary and State Food Inspectorate of Belarusian Ministry of Agriculture and Foodstuffs has temporarily suspended the import of Latvian fish meal production, produced by Kalifeks, to the country's territory. It was reported in the Ministry of Agriculture and Foodstuffs of Belarus.
«While conducting studies of fishmeal of Kalifeks production in Belgosvetcenter, there was established its discrepancy with the requirements of GOST 2116-2000 and veterinary and sanitary standards on the safety of feed and feed additives on carbamide content «, informed in the press service.
Ministry sent a request to receive information on the causes of carbamide content increasing in fish meal to the Food and Veterinary Service of Latvia.
