The president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko required the government to speed up work on attraction of the 15 billion dollars investments promised by China. The Belarusian leader emphasized that new orientations of cooperation, including with China, is today "the questions of our state survival, as sovereign and independent country".

«If we solve this problem, not only our, but also the future generations will live normally. If we do not solve, we will have to somersault, and we will be kicked in a back as we have been kicked till now. They will throw a stranglehold over our neck and will tighten it until we start to suffocate. Then they may release us and may not release», the head of state said, BelTA informs.

According to Alexander Lukashenko, that is the reason why he requires officials to speed up work in this direction. If someone cannot or does not want to work in that way, the president of Belarus urges to tell about that directly.

«Excuse me, but I have such suspicions about some people, including those who sit at this table. I will not sustain sabotage, idleness too, it will be equated to sabotage», the Belarusian leader warned the participants of the meeting in the government.

Chinese billions will help us not to be kneeling over and over again, Lukashenko

The head of the state reminded that «breakthrough arrangements» had been signed in the end of the last year. They provide opening for Belarus preferential credit lines by the government and banks of China at a total amount of about 15 billion dollars for realization of capital investment projects according to the demands of the Belarusian party, AFN informs.

«This amount almost twice more than all foreign amounts invested in economy of Belarus in 2009, and it is 4,5 times more than that we have received from IMF. If we continue to compare, the amount of 15 billion dollars which China offers us, is ten times more than the credit granted us by our brotherly Russia», Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.

«These billions should be directed exclusively on modernization of our economy, increase of its competitiveness, creation of such enterprises which would allow us to work exclusively under the world price for raw materials and power resources, and not to be kneeling over and over again, eliciting any preferences including from Russia», the president of Belarus said.
