Belarus to Level Trading Balance with Russian Federation in Three Years, Snopkov

The Ministry of Economy of Belarus counts to level trading balance with Russia in two or three years. The Minister of Economy Nikolay Snopkov declared this information in Moscow on June, 4th after the joint session of the Belarusian Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of economic development of Russia.

«The basic indicator of our mutual relations is our aspiration to equate trading balance. We will form trading balances to level the amount of balance», the Minister of Economy said.

Nikolay Snopkov noticed also, that the percentage of Belarusian export to Russia in total amount of the goods, imported by Russia, is hardly more than 4 %. «Therefore we’ve got the line of development», BelTA quotes the words of the head of economic department.

In turn, the minister of economic development of Russia Elvira Nabiullina noticed, that gradually goods turnover of Belarus and Russia starts to be restored. She reminded that last year the Belarusian-Russian goods turnover decreased by 31 % in connection with the world financial and economic crisis. And in the first quarter of this year turnover has increased by 17 %.

«Economy of Belarus and Russia are interconnected, and the enterprises of two countries are in close cooperation. Common market development is profitable to our countries», Elvira Nabiullina emphasized.

The agenda of joint session included three questions. The parties considered the possible conditions of social and economic development of Belarus and Russia in 2010-2013, formation of the Customs union and Common free market zone. They also discussed the progress of realization of the intergovernmental plan on minimization of the consequences of the financial crisis.
