Belarus to Spend 1.3 Euro on Each Voter, CEC

At upcoming presidential elections in Belarus, the authorities plan to spend 1.3 euro on each of seven million voters. It was reported on September 15 by the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of Belarus, Lydia Yermoshina. According to CEC head, Belarus fully meets international standards on this indicator.

Lydia Yermoshina explained that at presidential elections in Poland they spent one euro on each voter, 1.5 euro in Slovenia.

According to Lydia Yermoshina, there will be allocated Br37.7 billion from the state budget to organize presidential elections. These funds will be spent to equip the premises to arrange polling stations there, to produce printing products, to purchase necessary supplies.

Also, this amount includes the cost of salaries for chairperson and members of electoral commissions. Furthermore, there provided travel expenses for committee members of Br498.3 million.
