Belarus comes to Brazilian market with machinery supply. Soon, there will be supplied the first batch of Belarusian tractors. The parties agreed about it during the visit of Belarusian delegation, headed by First Deputy Prime Minister, Vladimir Semashko, to the Brazilian state of Goias and meeting with the Governor of this State, Alcides Rodrigues Filho.

According to Vladimir Semashko, soon, there will be supplied the first test batch of tractors in order to subsequently adapt them to Brazil’s working conditions. «It should not be delayed. We need to make all tests before summer comes, and to sign contract in autumn. These supplies will be either seasonal, or creation of joint venture — that is more possible», noted Deputy Prime Minister, adding that the Brazilian market is very promising, because Brazil needs 45-50 thousand tractors annually.

«Brazil is the richest country taking in consideration its natural resources. It is important for this country to have the most advanced haul machinery and equipment for working in the mines, that is, everything that BelAZ — which owns 30% of the world market — disposes now. We have agreed to act here in the same way as MTZ does. We should resolve this issue till the end of the year, to open this huge market for us «, said Deputy Chairman of Belarusian government.

Vladimir Semashko said that Brazil is also interested in Belarusian bearing plant’s products. The parties agreed to prepare respective contracts in a month, and the supply of these products will grow to 54 million dollars (the supply of tires decreased from $ 24 million in 2008 to two million dollars in 2009).

«There is all the leading companies’ equipment In Brazil. Of course, in this sense, we are a little behind in the sense that our MTZ is not presented in this market», emphasized the First Vice Prime Minister, noting that MTZ technology is being bought in more than 85 countries around the world, informs BelTA.

Belarusian Vice-Premier also pointed out that Belarus has its interest, too. «Brazil is one of the leading economies and industrially developed country. That’s why Belarus is interested in buying many kinds of industrial products. Brazilian soybean meal’s custom is also beneficial for our country, and it will give us possibility to avoid intermediaries and act directly «, said Vladimir Semashko.
