June 13, Belarusbank set 14% interest rate for loans in rubles on common grounds, which are issued for construction (reconstruction) or purchase of housing by large families in need of better housing conditions and raising three or more minor children. As noted in the bank, this rate is 2% below than the National Bank refinancing rate.
These changes apply both to the previously and the newly issued loans on general grounds.
Soft loans under 1% per annum «may be still qualified for families with children in need of better housing, as well as citizens who live, work and build housing in settlements with a population of up to 50 thousand people in the cities of Kobrin, Slutsk, Rechitsa and Svetlahorsk,» said Belarusbank.
As Telegraf previously reported, Belarusbank had earlier revised its priorities in concessional lending for housing, having reduced the list of potential borrowers.
