Belarusian Citizens Sell More Currency, the National Bank

In May of this year, Belarusians' net sales of foreign currency, both cash and non-cash, amounted to 29.9 million dollars in equivalent. It is reported by the main bank of the country. According to the National Bank's data, in April, Belarusians sold net foreign currency equal to 3.6 million dollars in equivalent, and in March they bought net currency for 33.7 million dollars.

In particular, in May, the country’s citizens sold the currency in the amount of 576.3 million in equivalent (compared to 517.1 million dollars in April), and bought 546.3 million dollars (compared to 513.5 million dollars), AFN informs.

Including the sale of cash currency totaled 565.7 million dollars and the purchase amounted to 520.5 million dollars in equivalent. According to the National Bank, the sale and purchase of non-cash currency amounted to respectively 10.5 and 25.8 million dollars in equivalent.

For cash currency there formed net offer of 45.2 million dollars. For non-cash foreign currency, net demand was equal to 15.3 million dollars.
