National debt of Belarus reached Br37 trillion on September 1, 2010, thus having increased by 21.6% since the beginning of the year, including 10.1% for August. In this case, the external public debt in rubles has increased by 26.3% for the eight months of 2010 (including 13% in August) to Br28.4 trillion ($9.45 billion), according to the Ministry of Finance of Belarus.
Domestic debt volume amounted to Br8.5 trillion, having increased by 8.3% since the beginning of the year (including 1.4% in August), AFN.
In the structure of government debt central government debt reached Br30.1 trillion, an increase of 21.8% since the beginning of the year (including 12% in August). Economic entities debt, guaranteed by the government, amounted to Br6.9 trillion, an increase of 20.6% in January-August (including 2.4% in August).
