Belarusian MES Detachment Extinguishes 132 Fires in Russia

Composite detachment of Belarusian MES, which consists of 150 personnel and 25 vehicles, arrived in Ryazan region of Russia to assist in pitting out fires on August 7. During this time, Belarusian unit eliminated 132 fires: 76 forest fires, 15 peat fires, 41 fire of forest vegetation. Combined detachment continues to work in 24-hours regime, reported in the Ministry of Emergencies of Belarus.

On August 15, 2010, Belarusian firefighters put out two forest, three peat and one fire of dry vegetation in three districts of Ryazan region in total area of 5.5 hectares.

At all places, the units of combined detachment continue to eliminate seats of forest and peat fires with total front of about 11 kilometers. There organized patrolling of forest and peat fires over 61 kilometer.
