Head of Information and spokesman of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Andrei Savinykh denied statements by the Russian media that the Embassy of Belarus in the Russian Federation hosted a casino. The Russian newspaper "Izvestia" reported on April 14 about the fact that there're illegal gambling establishments at the embassies of Belarus and North Korea in Moscow.

Andrei Savinykh has called the publication «fake.» «There’s no casino in the Belarusian embassy in Moscow and can not be. If a journalist of «Izvestia» asked the Ambassador of Belarus on this issue, he’d immediately receive a full and comprehensive answer,» he said.

In turn, the Belarusian head of diplomatic department in Moscow, Vasili Dolgolev invite journalists to visit the embassy. «The media are granted access to any premises they wish,» told in the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

Diplomatic mission of North Korea in Moscow, in turn, has also denied information about the illegal casinos in the territory of the embassy. «There has never been any casino in the territory of our embassy,» reported in the representation of North Korea.

According to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961, diplomatic missions are prohibited from using the embassy in order to be incompatible with the functions of representation, international law and specific agreements between the sending and the receiving State.
