Belarusian delegation comprising Minister of Industry Alexander Radevich, Minister of Construction and Architecture Alexander Seleznev, Agriculture and Food Mikhail Rusi and leaders of some enterprises signed agreements with Venezuelan authorities in Caracas on the purchase of 16 thousand tons of milk powder, agricultural machinery and transport, the head of Venezuelan Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro said.
According to him, Venezuela will acquire 570 Belarusian tractors and trucks, as well as dump trucks and tankers. Two thousand Belarusian tractors will be delivered to Caracas, RIA «Novosti» news agency.
In addition, Belarus will help Venezuela in the construction of three agro-industrial complexes for the cultivation and processing of agricultural produts.
Economic cooperation between the two countries is based on mutual benefit, Nicolas Maduro said.
As Telegraf reports, the contract for the supply of Venezuelan oil to Belarus was signed on March 17, 2010. According to the documents, Venezuela is to supply to Belarus four million tons of oil in 2010. «Belarusian Oil Company» and the company Petroleos de Venezuela signed a contract for the supply of oil in 2011 — 2013 during the visit of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to Belarus on October 16. Under the agreement, the annual Venezuelan oil supply to Belarus may reach ten million tons.
