Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus has not yet received notification from Warsaw to ban the President Alexander Lukashenko and a number of Belarusian officials an entry to Poland. This was stated by the press secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Andrei Savinykh on January 18.

Andrei Savinykh noted that diplomats had heard some news in press about Poland’s possible visa bans against Belarusian officials, but would not respond to this information until being confirmed by their own channels, Korrespondent.net reported, citing RIA Novosti. As Telegraf previously informed, Poland is going to introduce sanctions against Lukashenko and another several hundred officials, according to unofficial reports of Polish diplomatic sources. The Polish Foreign Ministry compiled a list of persons, participating in the opposition persecution in connection with Minsk massive demonstrations in December.
