A 24-year-old citizen of Hrodna, while intoxicated, committed a sexual assault against a little child on December 9. The police were called not by her parents, but by physicians to whom the child's mother had turned for help only the next day after the crime.
As reported by the Office of Criminal Investigation Department of Internal Affairs of Hrodna Voblast Executive Committee, the rape occurred in the apartment where the girl lived. Her mother’s friend came at her place and they started to drink alcohol. Later, the woman, mother of many children, went to the store, having left them with a guest, Police Major Andrei Kudritski, the department head on the disclosure of crimes against the individual, commented on the fact.
At that time, a man, previously convicted, rapped the younger daughter in a perverted form. When her mother came home with a bottle, the girl was bleeding, but her Mom only washed a child and put her in bed. Despite her daughter being sick on December 10, the woman tried to stop bleeding all by herself until the child began to lose consciousness. The two-year-old girl was operated on; the cause of rupture of the child’s internal organs was reported to the police. The suspect initially denied rape, but later confessed to the crime. At the moment he’s being kept in the investigatory isolation ward. The offender faces from 8 to 15 years imprisonment for having committed a sexual assault against a minor child (Article 167 part 3 of the Criminal Code).
Another resident of Hrodna, who have been showing his sexual organs to women in a wooded area near the city hospital № 3, is also at present in pre-trial detention. This crime is regarded as disorderly conduct and entails correctional works and short-term imprisonment.
