Belorusneft canceled a one-time limit of diesel fuel sale of 100 liters capacity at its gas stations, located near the border. Restrictions came into force on March 29 and operated less than 24 hours. Information on the limit introduction disappeared from Belneftekhim official site.
The company explained that the restriction had been lifted by a decision of the Government of Belarus, BelTA informs.
As Telegraf previously reported, restrictions were imposed to reduce the increased export of intra-priced petroleum products in motor vehicles outside the country, as well as to protect the domestic market.»
However, Wednesday, March 30, the U.S. has imposed sanctions against Belorusneft, since the latter concluded a $500 million contract with the Iranian company NaftIran Intertrade to develop oil field Jofeir in 2007.
