Belorusneft will begin gas production in Venezuela in 2010

Republican Unitary Enterprise "Production Association Belorusneft will start gas production in Venezuela in 2010. "Gas extraction will be based on state agreements that provide expansion of cooperation between Belorusneft and Venezuelan oil company Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) " — the press service of the enterprise informs.

«The fields for a joint study of geological, geophysical and production information, and business planning for further
development are identified. This year, these gas
fields will be included in the assets of the joint venture Petrolera
BeloVenesolana — according to the press-service of Belorusneft BelTA
informs.

«The main short-term task of the
joint venture — increasing the oil production from
new fields, as well as the realization of a full program of geological,
technical, organizational and technical measures to the widespread
introduction of the Belarusian technologies. In particular, oil
production will increase to one million tons per year «- the press service
of the Belarusian enterprise states.

«The joint venture
Petrolera BeloVenesolana was established in December 2007, — the press service
reminded . — During this time it produced
approximately 1.5 million tons of oil and 450 million cubic meters of
associated gas. Five
oil fields are on the balance of joint venture, three were
transferred to the asset in 2009. The current operational
fund contains 175 wells, including four flow wells.
