Beltelecom data-processing centres network can host more than hundred thousand sites of the Belarusian hosting providers in Minsk and Voblast centres. Thereby they will get possibility to fulfill the presidential decree № 60 "Of measures on improvement of the national Internet segment usage".
«Now the resources of Beltelecom data-processing centres totally amount 67 TB for lease of footprint (virtual hosting), the virtual private server (VPS), lease of dedicated server. It means that more than 100 thousand Internet sites additionally can be placed today on Beltelecom servers. There are 44 free boxes for collocation», the press-service of the national telecoms operator explained.
The hosting providers can use the data-processing centres not only in Minsk, but also in each Voblast centre. «To satisfy clients demand for the hosting services on the basis of Beltelecom data-processing centres, the company increases as required capacity of data-processing centre platform on street Ubarevicha, 8/2 in Minsk and capacity of the platforms in the Voblast centres», the experts said.
The representatives of Beltelecom press-service also guaranteed reliability of information storage and «the highest safety of the data» since all the data-processing centres are situated in the closed protected territories under video surveillance. The centres are equipped with the guaranteed power supply, including in a case of full loss of external power supplies, air-conditioning, system of gas fire extinguishing without damaging the clients’ equipment , «round-the-clock technical support by highly skilled experts».
As Telegraf informed, Alexey Fedorinchik, the head of Beltelecom PR service, proposed earlier to the Belarusian hosting providers to develop the infrastructure since Beltelekom is not obliged to provide places under servers. According to the expert, Beltelecom data-processing centres are not the public transport».
