Belvnesheconombank to Receive $10 Million Loan from EBRD

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) opened a $10 million credit line for "Belvnesheconombank" for five years. The corresponding agreement was signed on December 29, 2010, reported in "Belvnesheconombank." Allocated credit resources will be directed to the credit support of small and medium business in Belarus.

«Belvneshekonombank» intends to expand cooperation with the EBRD. «An agreement, involving «Belvnesheconombank» in the EBRD trade finance program, is expected to be singed in the near future,» Telegraf reporter was informed in the company.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is an international financial organization, financing projects for enterprise development and open economy. The EBRD is currently working with banks in 29 countries in Europe and Asia.

According to Telegraf, profits of «Belvneshekonombank» amounted to Br52 billion on October 1, 2010 and increased by 75.1%, compared with January-September 2009. «Belvnesheconombank» is a commercial bank. 97.42% of shares belong to the Russian «Vnesheconombank,» the remaining 2.22% — to Belarus.
