Budget Deficit of Belarus Reached 3.2% of GDP for First Six Months

The consolidated budget of Belarus for the first half of 2010 was executed with a deficit of 2.2 trillion rubles (734 million dollars). This amount represents 3.2% of GDP. This budget revenues amounted to 22.1 trillion rubles, having decreased by 21.6% compared to the same period in 2009. Budget expenditures reached 24.3 trillion. rubles, a decrease of 16,2%.

As Telegraf informed, Ministry of Finance predicted that 2011-year’s state budget will be executed with a deficit of 1.5% to the GDP level. As First Deputy Finance Minister of Belarus, Vladimir Amarin, reported the sources of covering the budget deficit would be found, for example, through the re-distribution of short-term bonds or by other means.
