The introduction of unified with Russia duties for Belarusian individuals on cars, imported from abroad, is not expected before July 1, 2011. This was stated by the chairman of the State Customs Committee of Belarus Alexander Shpilevsky in the interview with Belarusian and Russian press in Minsk on November 25.

According to him, the timely approval of a package of agreements on a single economic space (SES) formation does not mean the uniformity, in this regard, of the customs duties on cars for Belarusian individuals with the customs duties for the Russians, BelTA informs.

According to the SCC head, the Customs Union signed an agreement on customs tariffs and their removal. «It clearly defined the term to introduce the uniform duty on cars import to Belarus, which is July 1, 2011. Therefore, the signing of a package of documents on the SES creation does not imply that the customs duties on imported cars for physical persons can be imposed earlier, Alexander Shpilevsky said.
