CEC Informed about Amount of Money Collected by Presidential Candidates

Belarus Central Election Commission promulgated data on the total amount of funds, received by presidential candidates for the election campaign in Belarus, as well as on the total amount, spent as of November 30. According to the CEC, the leader of the campaign "Tell the truth!", the poet Vladimir Niakliaeu has received Br83.493 million on his account, of which Br7.05 million has been spent.

The leader of the campaign «European Belarus» Andrei Sannikov has got Br6.8 million on his account, the BPF deputy chairman Rygor Kastuseu — Br355 thousand, the candidate of the «Belarusian Christian Democracy» Vital Rymasheuski collected Br300 thousand.

There was Br89.1 thousand on the account of the United Civic Party deputy chairman Yaroslav Romanchuk, while the economist Viktor Tereshchenko — Br100. According to the CEC, none of these funds were spent.

Accounts for election funds of the incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko have just recently been opened, as well as the accounts of Ales Michalevic, the head of the Union «For modernization,» «Ejednevnik» reports.

Candidates’ fund can be drawn from three sources: own funds (up to 50 basic units), voluntary donations of individuals (not more than 10 basic units from one citizen) and donations of legal persons (not more than 30 basic units from a single entity). The total volume of individual fund should not exceed three thousand basic units (Br105 million).
