Economist, Sergei Chaly, believes that the representatives of China are far from the desire of charity in respect of Belarusian economy. "China decided to give a loan to stimulate its own exports. We are at the receiving side of the transaction. The loan presupposes its filling by Chinese suppliers", the expert said.
According to the analyst, China practise such things with many countries. «Thereby, the Chinese help themselves more than us», Sergei Chaly said.
«In general, there is nothing bad with Chinese loan and other transactions. The most important question is what these loans lines will be filled with. They were ready to give us loans even before, but we always had problems with their filling with investment projects», Sergei Chaly said.
China never gives money for the hell of it, Koktysh
Council’s Member of the Association of Political Experts and consultants, Kirill Koktysh, believes that China never gives money for the hell of it, according to «Tomorrow of your country» online edition.
«They do not need the goods from other countries. All that other countries produce, China can produce much cheaper, but with the comparable quality. And it’s naturally, that they need raw materials or technology from other countries. Belarus does not possess natural resources. So, China interested in Belarusian technologies, but this kind of cooperation rarely goes out the frames of one-time sales transaction», Kirill Koktysh supposed.
