China Delivers Poor-Quality Equipment to Belarus, Sidorsky

The Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky demanded to strengthen at modernization of the Belarusian cement works the control over quality of the Chinese equipment. The Prime Minister required that at the session of Government on July, 6th. "The first equipment came, it was poor-quality, uncleaned. It made me wary", Sergei Sidorsky said.

The Prime Minister of Belarus added that «we need to make so that such cases won’t repeat anymore», BelTA informs.

In turn, the Minister of Architecture and Building of Belarus Alexander Seleznev reminded that Belarus signed contracts with the Chinese company CITIC on designing, equipment delivery and building of new technological lines for cement dry manufacture on Belarusian Cement Works, «Krichevcementnoshifer» and «Krasnoselskstroymaterialy».

«Equipment is delivered according to the coordinated schedule. The first lot arrived to the Belarusian cement works on May, 15th this year. 144 more units of equipment have been shipped for this enterprise by now. At the same time the defects were found out at the lot acceptance. The defects were poor-quality welding of separate knots of the equipment and its colouring», Alexander Seleznev said.

The minister said, that according to the prime contract conditions the defective statement had been drawn up and the agreement on elimination of the revealed defects by the Belarusian experts at the expense of the Chinese company had been signed. «Negotiating with the Chinese partners we agreed to strengthen the control over quality of manufacturing and of banning deliveries of poor-quality equipment «, Alexander Seleznev said.
