Head of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprise, Sergey Balykin, doubts in investors coming in Belarus after the announcement of President Alexander Lukashenko that he is ready to sell any company. According to the economist, Belarus gained a reputation of unreliable partner for investors, where there are many risks.

«To paraphrase a famous anecdote, any foreign investor can come to any of our enterprises, and he’ll get nothing: no profits, no dividends, no property security», Tomorrow of your country quotes the expert.

«That reputation is strong enough. To demolishing and even shake it by a decree of registration of business entities is impossible. And ongoing efforts to liberalize pricing and wage formation can be compared only with the stranglehold weakening, nothing else», says the analyst.

That is why, Sergei Balykin stressed, investors «are reluctant even in highly remunerative sectors: telecommunications is an ample, untapped market, with a sufficiently high prices: the banking sector».

In addition, the economist notes that even those investors who come to the country invest almost nothing in changing economic situation in Belarus. «They provide some services on Belarusian market and take profits abroad», explained the expert.
