The Customs Union can start to operate fully since July, 1st, as Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus has enough resources to create it without exceptions and restrictions. This is how Andrey Savinykh, the head of the department for information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, characterized the main principle of Belarusian position in tripartite negotiating process.

«We consider that at the given stage it is necessary to do all best for successful end of this process. First of all, that’s in behalf of all three participants», the representative of the Belarusian Ministry emphasized, BelTA informs.

In the meantime, as Telegraf informed, the House of Representatives of National Assembly of Belarus put off consideration of issue on ratification of the Customs code of the Customs union which was scheduled for June, 10th

Sergei Maskevich, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for Foreign Affairs and Communications with the CIS, informed, that according to «the operating procedures agreement ratification will be considered till the end of session». The following session of the House of Representatives will be held on June, 14th, and session closing is scheduled for June, 30th.

Earlier the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus stated that Belarus was ready to ratify the Customs Code of the Customs Union but without exceptions.

The most sensitive issue for Belarus when creating the Customs Union has been to cancel export duties on oil products imposed by Russia in 2010. Moscow is ready to discuss this issue only within the limits of negotiations on Common Free Market Zone which should start to operate since 2012. Minsk also disputes the requirement of Russia to raise the Belarusian taxes on import of the cars by physical persons to the Russian level.
