Criminal Case Is Initiated because of MiG-29 Crash

Belarus initiated a criminal investigation because of the military MiG-29 crash near Hantsavichy, Brest Voblast. The case was initiated by Baranavichy interpost military prosecutor under part 2 of the article 465 of the Criminal Code of Belarus ("Violation of the rules of safety flights or preparings for them").  Police is to find out causes and circumstances of the incident during the investigation, the Belarusian military prosecutor's office informs.

The investigation team, as noted in the Defense Department, is examining the records of conversations of the dead MiG-29 pilots and the dispatcher. A special commission is working at the crash site. It’s not revealed whether a flight data recorder of crashed MiG-29 aircraft, BelTA informs.
As Telegraf informed, the military MiG-29 fighter, registered at 61th Fighter Baranavichy air base, crashed near Hantsavichy, Brest Voblast on September 23. Both pilots died. The incident happened around 5:00 p.m. when the pilots were carrying out the elements of high complexity aerobatics at low altitudes.
