In Chigirin Reservoir, located on Drut river on the border of Kirov and Bykhov districts of Mogilev region, the fishermen have caught an unusual fish. In the upper part of the body of this fish besides ordinary fins and tail there grew horns. According to the experts, this fish is usual silver crucian.
Unusual appearance of the fish is caused by natural features: during the breeding crucian can mate with other fish species, CTV channel informs.
«Crucian can produce offspring from other species of carp fish. Such as tench, carp. These mutations are caused by these and other reasons. It is no mere chance that a lot of aquarium fish are originated from crucian», a senior lecturer of biology of A. Kuleshov Mogilev State University, Alexander Tarkan, said.
