Russian President Dmitry Medvedev called the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, started to work this year, a political victory. "This Customs Union has started its work this year. This is a big political victory and a serious economic test," the Russian leader said.

Russian President recalled that the Customs Code had come into force in July and a common customs territory had been created.
Dmitry Medvedev added that «we still have a very serious job to do in anticipation of entering the common economic space and the Eurasian Union, declared by us together with other nations.»
