Directive № 4 on the liberalization of the economy will be adopted in Belarus before the presidential elections. "Directive is a daunting document. There is a very strong refinement, a lot of proposals are now introduced in all areas. In the nearest future, we must send a draft to the Presidential Administration. I think, the directive will be ready before the election," Deputy Economy Minister Andrei Tur stated on October 20.

According to the official, the delay in the adoption of the document is due to the fact that there are many complexities in this issue. «It’s not that simple,» the deputy minister noted, Telegraf.

«This directive, as well as any directive, is generally a political document. It defines the strategic vector of development, policy development in this direction,» Andrei Tur said. The deputy minister refused to name the specific changes to occur in the economy due to the document. «As soon as the directive is released, and you’ll get to know,» the official noted.
