Secretary of the Central Election Commission of Belarus Nikolai Lozovik said on 9 November that every candidate for presidency can still be out of the run. "Such a possibility remains up to the election day. If someone breaks electoral legislation, the legislation of Belarus, such a possibility is not excluded," he stressed.
According to the CEC representative, the cause of withdrawal candidates for president from the election can become claims to prospective candidates’ documents, «European Radio for Belarus.»
At the present time the Central Election Commission expects contenders to submit a written statement of consent to run for president, the questionnaires with biographical information and data of income and assets of the potential candidate himself, his wife and adult relatives, living with him and sharing household , Nikolai Lozovik said.
The CEC registration of candidates for the president is planned to be completed by the November 19.
According to Telegraf, ten candidates for the presidency remained in Belarus up to November 9.
