Observers from the Russian Central Election Commission did not reveal the mass system violations at the presidential elections in Belarus, and therefore the CEC does not doubt the legitimacy of the vote. This was stated by deputy chairman of CEC Leonid Ivlev on January 26, who headed the team of observers at the election commission in Belarus.

According to him, «in principle, the election commission of Belarus of all levels made great efforts to ensure the voting rights of citizens of Belarus,» and violations, detected by Russian observers, were minor, according to RIA Novosti.

As examples of such violations, representative of Russian Central Electoral Commission recalled the case of detection of the webcam at a polling station during early voting, the cases of a so-called «family» voting with both husband and wife in a polling booth at one and the same time.

«We registered the presence of people, having no right to stay at the polling station. For example, a doctor, Emergency employee, fireman,» said Leonid Ivlev.

In general, the deputy chairman of the CEC summed up, «we (the observers) were working in an environment of extraordinary openness and accessibility to observe any actions at presidential elections in Belarus, we were asking for and receiving any documents, communicating with any members of the commission.»
