Electricity Production Decreased by 3.4% in First Quarter of the Year, Belstat

According to the National Statistics Committee of Belarus, electricity production decreased by 3.4%  in January-March 2011 against the same period in 2010 and amounted to 9.1 billion kilowatt-hours. Moreover, production fell by 0.8% to 2.8 billion kilowatt-hours in March compared with February.

Heat release fell by 3.9% to 25.5 million gigacalories in January-March, and by 14.5% to 7.7 million gigacalories in March compared with February.
