Electricity Production over Six Months Increase by 13.2%, Belstat

In Belarus, for the first six months of this year, electricity production increased by 13.2%, after falling by 15% over the corresponding period of last year and amounted to 16.9 billion kW/h. It is evidenced by data of the National Statistics Committee of Belarus.

However, in June of this year, compared to May, there registered the decline in production of electricity by 4.2%, AFN informs.

According to the National Statistics Committee, production of heat energy for the first six months increased by 9.5% after the same last year period’s rising by 3.9% up to 20.5 million Gkal. At the same time, in June compared to May, the production fell by 8.7%.

In general, in the first half of the year, electric power enterprises of Belarus increased their production by 11.5% (in January-June of last year it declined by 12.3%) to 5.27 trillion rubles.
