Belarusian Embassy in Japan Can't Get on to Two Belarusians

The Belarusian Embassy in Japan is trying to contact two citizens of Belarus, who missed the flight. This was reported by Charge d'Affaires of Belarus in Japan Viacheslav Beskosti. "A few minutes ago we received information that two citizens of Belarus had missed the flight at Narita Airport due to traffic jams," he said.

«They have no money to buy new tickets. Currently, the embassy is trying to establish contact with them, looking for relatives in Belarus,» said Viacheslav Beskosti, BelTA informs.

The diplomat said the embassy had no information about Belarusians, injured or killed in the earthquake. He noted that, according to the Japanese Foreign Ministry, there were no details about the foreigners, dead or injured as well. «Therefore, we believe that none of the citizens of Belarus was injured or died,» said Viacheslav Beskosti.

He also talked about some of the calls of Belarus’s citizens to the embassy with the reports that everything was all right.

According to Telegraf, at least 400 people were killed in the disaster in Japan, more than 700 people, according to the media, are still missing.
