Ambassador of Belarus to Warsaw Victor Haisenok sent a letter to Polish MEP Marek-Henryk Migalski. The letter expresses concern about the European Parliament resolution on Belarus in which the threat of sanctions is stated.

The head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Poland wrote in his letter that the resolution also «would not be a good step on the background of the work of expert group on problems of the Polish minority in Belarus. Alexander Lukashenko and Foreign Minister of Poland Radoslaw Sikorski agreed on the establishment of such group in Kiev.»

«The adopted document will not be a positive sign and on the background of permanent Polish-Belarusian and Belarusian-European dialogue. European Parliament Resolution on Belarus will not affect positively the work of expert group «, — considers Belarusian ambassador, Belarusian service of Radio Liberty reports .

«We hope that by taking care of the welfare for the Poles in Belarus, you will refrain from making hasty decisions and while considering Belarusian issue in the European Parliament you will use objective information on the case, taking as a basis interests of Belarusian citizens, including those of Polish origin, and relations between our countries «, — Victor Haisenok summarized in a letter to Polish MEP.
