The European Commission has announced a competition of projects among local initiatives in the framework of the "European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights in Belarus." The purpose of this competition is to strengthen the role of the Belarusian civil society in the field of human rights and democratic reforms.
As reported by the EU mission in Belarus, the initiative also aims to search for «consensus and understanding in contentious or controversial issues.»
One should submit a project proposal for the competition by September 5, 2011 in Kiev office of the European Commission, or leave a request on the official site of the mission.
