Every Enterprise in Belarus Should Introduce Innovations, Semashko

Every enterprise in Belarus should have innovative and investment projects, to build something, to produce. The statement was made on August 4 by First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, Vladimir Semashko. Vice Prime Minister also noted that almost everything planned under the State program of innovation development of Belarus would be implemented in 2010.

«Over the years when realizing the program, which ends this year, in Belarus there have been created new productions, modernized production capacities of already existing enterprises, as well as introduced new technologies», Vladimir Semashko said, informed in the government.

According to Vladimir Semashko, the list of investment projects of the current five-year plan is 2.5 times bigger. «When I look at the amount of money, planned by enterprises and ministries, then in some areas they are much higher, in three or four times as a rule», First Vice Prime Minister stressed.

At present, there being prepared a draft of State program of innovation development for 2011-2015. Under the new program, all Belarusian enterprises should join the innovation process and have at least one or two investment projects, Vladimir Semashko stated.

Belarusian industry extremely needs new equipment, Semashko

As First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus noted, domestic industry extremely needed new equipment. According to him, among producers there is particularly high demand for universal equipment. «Until recent time, we bought these plants abroad — laser, plasma, hydroabrasive systems», Vladimir Semashko underlined.

However, the introduction of innovative technologies at Belarusian enterprises allowed to master mass production of expensive equipment. For example, at the state scientific and production association «Center» of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus there have mastered serial production of plasma cutting systems.

Moreover, there created a prototype of computer-aided complex of hydroabrasive cutting of materials. It will give a possibility for the issue in the Republic since 2011 of finished dimension type’s equipment for cutting various materials for all sectors of economy: gas cutting, plasma cutting, plasma cutting in water, hydroabrasive cutting.

Innovative technologies contribute to import substitution, Semashko

According to Vladimir Semashko, such innovations open new opportunities for industrial enterprises, help to improve working efficiency. Furthermore, it also contributes to import substitution and export increase.

«Each unit of this equipment cost from 100 thousand dollars to 300 thousand dollars», Vladimir Semashko said. According to him, Belarus will have additional opportunities to expand supplies of such equipment into the markets of other countries within the framework of the Customs Union.
