State Customs Committee of Belarus considers as necessary to maintain the country's existing rate of car import duties for individuals. It was announced on April 29 by the Deputy Chairman of State Customs Committee, Leonid Dosov, at a round table discussion on the prospects of the Customs Union.
According to the deputy chairman, the SCC’s position is that the existing conditions of cars import and rates of import customs duties are optimal for Belarusians to the date. «And to make some changes is inappropriate, since it concerns a great number of our citizens», BelTA quotes the words of Leonid Dosov.
The representative of the SCC also reported that now is being discussed an issue on the size of import duties for individuals. «This issue should be finally resolved until July 1 of this year», said Leonid Dosov.
