External Debt of Belarus has Grown by 183.2 Million Dollars This Year

According to the National Bank of Belarus, the Gross External Debt of the country on January, 1st, 2010 amounted more than 22 billion dollars. In April this year the external debt of Belarus reached 22.24 billion dollars, having increased thereby from the beginning of this year by 183.2 million dollars.

In recalculation per capita the Gross External Debt on April, 1st was 2.348 thousand dollars in comparison with 2.327 thousand dollars on January, 1st this year and 1,596 thousand dollars on January, 1st last year, AFN informs.

According to the statistical data of National Bank, the long-term debt of Belarus on April, 1st amounted 9.52 billion dollars in structure of Gross External Debt, having decreased in January-April by 399.9 million dollars.

In turn, the short-term debt in the first quarter of this year increased by 583.1 million dollars and amounted 12.71 billion dollars on April, 1st, 2010. In the beginning of year it was 12.13 billion dollars.

In bank system the debt in the beginning of the year amounted 3.55 billion dollars, having decreased by 70 million dollars on hardly less than 3.49 billion dollars on April, 1st. In debt bank system, according to the main bank of the country, on April, 1st, 2010 the short-term debt amounted 1.54 billion dollars, long-term debt amounted 1.94 billion dollars.
