According to AUTO-Consulting company, general falling in new car sales in Belarus for the first six months of this year amounted to 61% compared to the same period of last year. The experts see the reason for such a falling in that the difference in car import duties made cars' purchase from legitimate dealers very expensive in Belarus.

According to car dealers, since the beginning of the year, sales of passenger cars in automobile sales centers decreased in about three times. It is interesting, that at the same time, the share of Russian cars increased a lot in Belarus car market, CarDirAuto website informs.

As Telegraf previously reported, in Belarus, the volume of new cars sales in 2009 declined by 40% compared to the previous period and amounted to 18.6 thousand units. At the same time, sales of Russian brands decreased even more than supplied from Western Europe countries.
