Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs will bear administrative responsibility for violation of Presidential Decree № 60 in Belarus. The announcement was made by the Chief of the Operative Analysis Centre under the President of Belarus Sergei Kravtsov on Monday, October 25.

According to the specialist, the draft law, providing administrative liability for violating the  internet rules, has already been developed and introduced by the Government of Belarus and will be sent to Parliament.

The draft law has an economic focus, Sergey Kravtsov said. The document stipulates that legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, registered in Belarus, will be administratively liable for the use of foreign Internet resources for the sale of goods or services to the citizens of Belarus, BelTA informs.

At the same time, the draft law does not prohibit the Belarusian companies to use overseas Internet resources for selling goods or providing services to citizens of other states.

As Telegraf previously reported, regulation of the Belarusian segment of the internet is provided by the decree № 60 «On measures to improve use of the national segment of the Internet», which was signed on February 1, 2010.
