The first snow fell in Minsk on October 22. In the morning, forecasters announced a storm warning for much of the territory of Belarus. Strong winds with gusts up to 15-20 meters per second are expected throughout the day in Minsk and Minsk voblast.

As reported in the National Hydro meteorological Center, this weather is caused by atmospheric fronts, having come from Western Europe. According to weather forecasts, the synoptic situation in Belarus will not change and the unstable cool weather will remain over the next two days.

So, cloudy weather with clearings is expected on Friday, October 22. At times it will be raining. Sleet is expected on some road sections at night and in the morning. Air temperature is -3 at night..  +2°C at daytime, +2°C in the north, and up to +9°C in the south of the country.

Showers are also expected on Saturday, October 23: sleet at night and rain in the afternoon. Weak ice will be on roads of the north-western parts of the country at night and in the morning. On the north-east of Belarus strong gusty winds will remain. Air temperature at night is about 0°C, during the day +2°C in the north, up to 10°C in the southwest.

The rain will stop only on Sunday, October 24. As explained in Belhydrometcenter, an increase in atmospheric pressure shall overcome dense clouds outside Belarus, so there will be light rain only in some places of Vitebsk voblast at night time. The fog will thicken in some areas at night and morning time. Air temperature at night -3..+2°C, daytime +5..+10°C, on the southwest up to +12°C
