Fisherman Frozen Into the Ice at the Minsk Sea

The employees of
the Ministry of Emergency Situations founded out that an elderly man was fishing.
«March 11, at about 08:00 p.m. pensioner fell ill and lost consciousness. He
lay on the ice till morning and was discovered by fishermen», reported MES.

The victim was removed
by rescuers and received medical assistance. At the time, the man is unconscious
in hospital, the ministry noted.

Moreover, on March
12, at 05:20 a.m., the operational control center of the Minsk City Emergency Department
was reported that 5 men were drowning in Svisloch, in Bogdanovich Street area.

While arriving
at the place of call, contingency diving service saved a man using a rescue
board, rescue ropes and ladders of attack. «A man fell through the ice in
the middle of the river, six meters from the shore. Ambulance brigade brought the
victim to the clinic with a diagnosis of general hypothermia», informed
Belarusian Emergency Ministry.
