For 15 Years Fixed Capital Investment Increased in 4, 7 Times in Belarus

In 2009, fixed capital investment increased in 4, 7 times in Belarus if to compare with 1995. Considering this gross domestic product, the share of fixed capital investments amounted to 31.7%. On average, the CIS countries fixed 21% of this indication in 2008. 

The pace of housing makes Belarus one of the leaders among the CIS countries. So, 595 square meters of housing was commissioned per thousand people in Belarus in 2009. At the same time in 1995 — 191 square meters, and in 2005 — 387 square meters. However, 421 square meters of housing was commissioned per thousand people in Russia, in Kazakhstan — 403 square meters, in the Ukraine — 140 square meters, BelTA informs.

Construction development in Belarus boosted housing provision. So, in 1995, there was 19.7 square meters per each Belarusian, and in 2009 — already 23.6 square meters. Thus, the provision of housing per capita in Belarus ranks second after Armenia among the CIS countries.
