The Ford Motor Company is ready to consider the offers on the organization of assembly manufacture in Belarus. "If there is any offer profitable both to Belarus and Ford Company, we will consider such project in any case", — the Ford Motor Company regional manager in Eastern Europe Zoltan Papp emphasized.
«We will be very glad, if in such a way we can achieve big successes not only in Belarus, but also in the whole region», the representative of the company has noted.
The deputy director on sale of the Ford general importer in Belarus Andrej Gavrilov thinks, that to start manufacture there should be a corresponding outlet, since nobody opens manufacture nowadays without it. «Such outlet will appear with the introduction of Belarus into the Customs union», the deputy director is assured.
«The markets of all Europe have strongly suffered for two last years. As the result, today it is difficult to find an expert who would predict that the situation will change for the better in 2010. In the circumstances the Ford Motor Company, as well as the others manufacturers, has free capacities. And tendencies are that more and more companies aspire to have the regional assembly base», the representative of general importer Ford in Belarus declared.
The State Customs Committee signed the memorandum of mutual understanding with the Ford Motor Company
The state customs committee of Belarus signed on April, 6th the memorandum of mutual understanding with Ford Central and Eastern European Sales. The document was signed at the meeting of the vice-president of the State Customs Committee Sergej Borisiuk with the management of this large automobile company which expressed readiness to inform customs bodies of Belarus about the costs of the products, directed on the Belarusian market, BelTa informs.
The State Customs Committee has already signed similar memorandums with such motor-car manufacturers, as Volkswagen, Kia, Audi, Skoda, Volvo, Sitroёn, Peugeot, Nissan, Chevrolet, BMW, Suzuki, Opel, Toyota, Renault and Porsche.
