Russian Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko said on December 22 that Moscow and Minsk had already prepared all necessary documents, regulating gas pricing for Belarus. However, as the head of the Russian Ministry of Energy says, the possible change in the price of gas for Belarus is a "completely commercial matter."

As the Minister of Economic Development Elvira Nabiullina previously stated, changes in the Russian gas pricing for Belarus next year are not planned, PRIME-TASS.

«So far everything will be as scheduled. We agreed to transit to equal profits for gas prices in the domestic market by 2015,» the minister said and added that the parties would enter into bilateral agreements until that time.

According to Telegraf, the Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky said on December 19 that negotiations on gas with Russia would possibly be successfully concluded by the end of 2010. «There is every reason to complete negotiations on payments and gas supply for Russia and Belarus successfully this year,» the Belarusian Prime Minister.

«Beltransgaz» and «Gazprom» are to prepare in 2011 a contract for the formation of gas prices for Belarus in 2012-2014. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Kobiakov at a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers on December 17. According to him, the agreement of December 9 between the countries of the Customs Union to move to equal gas pricing profitability in 2015 does not include the gas pricing in 2011.
